Avocado Banana Cacao Smoothie (raw-vegan)

Smoothies are a great way to pack in nutrients and vitamins in a quick meal. Sometimes even I don’t have time to make a nutritious meal and need something healthy on the go. My AVOCADO BANANA CACAO SMOOTHIE is just that. This smoothy recipe is part of a series of RUSTIC and SIMPLE smoothies and soups that I am developing… Don’t let the picture fool you, this smoothie is RAW and VEGAN so that makes it GUILT FREE!! ENJOY


1 small ripe organic avocado, cut in half and pit

2 small very ripe organic bananas, peel

1 TBSP raw 100% natural cacao powder

3/4 cup water

In your blender add the avocado, banana and cacao powder, blend well. Start adding your water 1/4 cup at a time, continue blending until creamy and smooth. This will make a thick shake almost pudding consistency, you can eat it with a spoon. If you like it thinner, just add more water slowly until desired consistency is achieved.
